Thanks to the American Lamb Board for awarding the Frederick County Sheep Breeders (FCSB) a small grant to promote lamb at Frederick City’s “In-the-Streets Festival” on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
The FCSB will provide 4 restaurants a half of lamb each to be used in promoting various lamb sandwiches during the Festival, plus featuring lamb on their menues.
The lambs will be processed at Hemp’s Meats, Jefferson, MD. www.hempsmeat.com
FCSB members will be demonstrating their spinning and weaving skills — and selling their hand-spun yarns, woolen hand-knit products and woolen blankets. Will also have shearing demonstrations through-out the day.
